Even if you do go to AB, you can still use these message boards and the Nostalgia channel (I think it would be cool!). But I hope you stay on Luclin Smiley

So, EQ is installed, all those expansions including the latest are mine and I have dared to try a first contact with the 'new' world on my old server - with the effect that panic is overwhelming me Tongue
What have i thought this would be like? I don't know the majority of the game-content, i don't understand a word of what others are talking about with all those stupid abbreviations, they even ask one another totally weird kind of buffs, i never heard before *arrgh*

so if I'm getting over this surge of 'what the hell am i doing here', be prepared for a very nasty little dwarfish, elfish or whatever girl, asking dozens of questions, being a pain on your neck by not knowing or understanding the most apparent things
sorry in advance for the next weeks Wink

Anyway, i created some chars on Luclin, just to lock my favorite names. Now I (and you) can choose between rogue, shaman, druid, beastmaster, mage or wiz *g*

Even for old players, the new things can be overwhelming. When I came back from EQ2, I discovered that even though it had only been a year since I played, I'd forgotten so much...

I even forgot how to sit down after my return a few weeks ago. Took me some time to figure that out again. EQ is really a complex game. There is no reason to be ashamed, aspecially not as someone who has just returned.

I have now reactivated my characters at AB. Look for Machel if you want to find me there. I did also fill out the guild creation form and requested "Nostalgia the Guild" at AB, just in case we need it. (I hope thats ok for you Tipa). According to the guild creation FAQ they will shutdown the guild after some time when there are fewer than 10 members. So it possibly doesn't work, even when we get a full group. But it allows us to use the new guild advertising system on AB for some time, which I think is an advantage.

That's fantastic, Mahanos Smiley

It's probably best to be on a Euro server. Kind of a bummer we can't play together Sad
