The Ancient Gaming Noob (yay Tristann!) reports that our own Nostalgia the Guild was mentioned in a listener mail in SOE Podcast #37.

So word is getting out Smiley

Also, Ashlanne and Brenlo confirm that the name of our server, the goddess of Shadow, and Norrath's doomed moon is pronounced "LUCK lin". So now we know.

I ALWAYS pronounced it LUCK-lin. I never understood people who made it LOOSE-lin. Crazy foreigners!!!

Hooray for us! Go Nostalgia!!

Well since you brought it up...

How DO Canadians feel about that "Blame Canada!" song?

I've always pronounced it "loose-lin" and will continue do to so.

It sounds more moon-like. Lucklin sounds like a stupid casino/resort.

Well, there's two moons, you know. So we can all keep guessing how Drinal is pronounced. DREE-nal sounds like a painful excretory procedure. DRIN-nal? Who knows?

"Dree-nal" sounds like the correct way to me, and that's how I've always pronounced it...

Which means it's probably pronounced any way BUT that.

DRI-NAL, the "ih" sound as in IF and DRIFT. Is that called the short sound? I dunno. I'm pretty sure that is how I've heard it pronounced, and is always the way I think of it. DREE-NAL sounds like something you need to go see your doctor about after a night out in Vegas.

It's bad enough that the Canadians can't pronounce the letter 'O', but it's Luck-lin, and for those of you that pronounce it loose-lin, I'd be interested in knowing why....I tend to pronounce things they way they are spelled....

For instance.....TIPA.  Apparently, it's pronounced Tea-pah, so I'm not surprised to find that she can't pronounce Luclin, either  Shocked

If anyone else needs lessons, I'm currently working on Stargrace's O's, feel free to contact me in game for some lessons!!
